Support Winn Main Street

My name is Shannan Chevallier. I am a native of Winn Parish and my why for serving on the Main Street Board is I support rejuvenation of Winnfield and want to be a part of making that vision a reality. Main Street is the historic core of the community and I want to see restoration to the historic downtown Winnfield. As a former business owner, I understand the importance of supporting small town businesses and want to create ways to keep the doors to our businesses open. Why Not Winn???

Director, Winn Main Street

My name is Stacey Fields. I am a graduate of Atlanta High School. I have an associate degree in Office System Technology from Central Louisiana Technical College, and a certificate in medical billing and coding from DeVry University. I am the proud parent of two children, R’Tisha and John Phillips.  I attend New Bethlehem Baptist Church in Atlanta, LA under the leadership of Rev. William C. Walker. I have been an employee for the City of Winnfield for four and a half years, and I’m now serving as the Deputy Clerk. Working at the Mayor’s office, located on Main Street, I feel like this is our opportunity to take flight and build up our downtown area by being able to redo the store fronts of the dilapidated buildings.  I would love to see more boutiques, new awnings, streetlights, and things that would make our downtown area more inviting so that visitors will always want to come back.

“My name is Tyler Pyles. I’m a Physical Therapist by trade, and I own and operate Winnfield Physical Therapy. I joined Winn Main Street in an effort to help revitalize an area of Winnfield (Main Street) that used to be very vibrant with businesses and loads of foot traffic. I aspire and hope to inspire others to help be a part of making changes for the better to bring back an area of our town that people can be proud of!”

Vice President, Winn Main Street

Hi! I am Karly Stewart, owner of Elite Athletics and Varsity Spirit Fashion Representative. I was born and raised in Winnfield, LA, and I currently live in Winnfield with my husband, David, and two sons, Grayson and Miles.

Winnfield is such a special place, and I could not imagine raising my kids anywhere else. I am very excited about all of the work Winn Main Street is doing. To me, the Main Street Program means revitalizing a place that has made a huge impact on my life! Through this program, we are going to bring more opportunities to Winnfield, create family friendly events, and pour into the Winn Parish culture that has been so rich for so long. I am excited to bring the Main Street Program back to Winn Parish.

President, Winn Main Street

Hello, I am Brentin Chandler, and a Winnfield business owner. My wife Mindy and I have three children and are glad to raise them in Winn Parish. Revitalizing downtown Winnfield is crucial for enhancing the overall well-being of the community. Local businesses need to thrive, providing residents with more job opportunities and boosting the local economy. A rejuvenated downtown fosters a sense of pride and community spirit among residents, attracting visitors and encouraging investment in the area. A lively downtown creates a safer and more inviting environment for families, making Winnfield an even more desirable place to retire or raise a family.

Treasurer, Winn Main Street

Hi, I am Rhonda Pharr Howell. I am the mother of Lindlay Howell. I am a graduate of Winnfield Senior High School and obtained my Master’s degree from NSU. I am a member of First United Methodist Church of Winnfield. I have been a teacher for 36 years.

I am proud to be a part of the Winn Main Street Board. I was fortunate to have lived in Winnfield when it was thriving. Every storefront was filled, there were skating rinks and arcades for the kids, and the town was well-kept and beautiful. My goal for Winn Main Street is to restore our downtown area and rebuild pride in our town. Through restoration, beautification and the planning of more family fun events I hope to help make Winnfield a place we all love to live. We are blessed to live in a small town and together there is nothing we can’t achieve.
